IA Application Timeline


September

  • Student and one parent should individually obtain an FSA ID using fsaid.ed.gov. Use the FSA ID/PIN to electronically sign the FAFSA.

October

  • Students can complete and submit their 2025-26 FAFSA as early as possible when the FAFSA becomes available. Although you must be accepted for enrollment at UF before you are considered for financial aid, you should apply for aid before being admitted.
  • Begin searching for outside scholarships, using SFA’s Scholarship Search Resources.
  • Begin requesting letters of recommendation for scholarship applications.

November

  • Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA at studentaid.gov when the FAFSA becomes available.

December

  • Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA at studentaid.gov when the FAFSA becomes available. In order for us to consider you for a financial aid package, you must be a degree-seeking admitted student.
  • Review your processed 2025-2026 FAFSA by checking your SAR (Student Aid Report). Correct any mistakes online at studentaid.gov.

January

February

  • Review your processed 2025-2026 FAFSA by checking your SAR (Student Aid Report). Correct any mistakes online at studentaid.gov.
  • Remember to check the status of your application on ONE.UF.

March

  • Once UF receives your application information and you’ve been admitted to UF, SFA will award you an aid package based on your eligibility. In order for us to consider you for a financial aid package, you must be a degree seeking, admitted student.

April

  • Review your financial aid file status on ONE.UF.
  • If SFA requests any additional verification documentation, be sure to respond immediately.
  • Innovation Academy admits should begin attending Preview.

June

  • Innovation Academy admits should begin attending Preview.
  • Begin to notify SFA if you receive any outside scholarships. Use ONE.UF., “Additional Aid Reporting.”
  • Student borrowers should accept their loans on ONE.UF

July/August

  • Student borrowers should make sure that they have completed entrance counseling and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) online at studentaid.gov.
  • Sign up for Direct Deposit, using ONE.UF. More information provided at Preview.

January

  • Students admitted for spring should review their e-bills on ONE.UF.. See additional dates and deadlines for other semesters.
  • Students can begin looking for on-campus jobs through jobs.ufl.edu.
  • Financial aid funds begin disbursing toward student account charges. Funds will not disburse if students have not completed all requirements. Check your aid status on ONE.UF..
