Best Counseling Degrees School Counseling Scholarship Applicants Must:

• Be a graduate student attending or accepted at an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Be a U.S. citizen as verified by a U.S. passport, birth certificate, or other methods seen here.
• Be earning a Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Counseling.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher; transcripts should be emailed directly by the college or university.
• Demonstrate dedication to the counseling profession through leadership in the community or participation in activities or research related to school counseling.
• Print and complete the scholarship application form.
• Submit one (1) cover letter and resume and one (1) 500-1,000 word personal essay about your career aspirations as a school counselor, why you chose the field of school counseling, or how you hope to make an impact in the lives of young people.
• Attach letter(s) of nomination from a faculty advisor. At least 1 letter; no more than 3.

Scholarship Deadline:

The deadlines for submitting applications are April 15th and October 15th. Selections will be made within one month of the deadline, and award winners will be notified by U.S. mail.
